What is a virtual consulting session?
When you want to organise your ideas, make a decision, describe a plan, or devise a strategy, it can help to draw it out. I’ll help you get out of your head. I’ll also give you immediate feedback. I’ve worked with hundreds of innovators over the past 20+ years.
I approach ideation with a lean mindset—my motto is move quickly, visualise, test, and iterate.
Your ideas are made visual in a single hour.
Moving from words and reports into visual summaries and drawings changes how we understand and communicate information.
During your consulting session, we can shift into different perspectives—such as a board member, customer, a timeline, or different locations—quickly. My consulting sessions help visionaries tease out their ideas from various angles creatively and efficiently.
I’ll shake up and inspire your ideas and mental models so we can rearrange them for maximum effectiveness. At the end of our hour together, your mind map is rough and ready.
From there, you can decide if you’d like to turn your consulting session graphic into a polished presentation piece either by hiring me or working with another illustrator.
Document a start-up idea.
Do you have a fantastic idea for a business or project and want to get it out of your head and onto paper? I can be your eyes and hands. During our live conversation, I will listen to your description, ask clarifying questions, and sketch. You’ll be surprised at how much is possible in a single hour. If your idea can’t be drawn, it’s probably too abstract at this point which means it will need more clarity from you before it can be clearly understood. If that’s the case, our session will be pivotal for you. You’ll leave with great ideas for immediate action steps.
Storyboard a journey or roadmap.
Want to tell the story of a proposed project so you can present it to stakeholders in one graphic? Say goodbye to long reports or emails! During our time together, I’ll organise your story into a concise timeline on a Mural/Miro board. Together, we’ll arrange things into coherent sections. Once that is approved, you can create a design on Canva or PowerPoint yourself or hire me to transform it into a polished information graphic.
Capture personal goals and dreams.
Do you feel personally stuck and desire fresh motivation? An hour-long consulting session can help you visualise your dreams and goals. Seeing is believing! You’ll leave with an uplifting sketch note or visual plan that you can use as wall art to keep you on track, moving toward what truly matters to your happiness and success.
Mock-up illustrations.
For some projects or ideas, it’s too soon to hire a professional illustrator or storyboard artist. You may just want to test ideas and iterate. I love to draw quickly and boldly whilst talking. Maybe I was Bob Ross in a past life but reborn with an iPad (I truly hope so!).
Whiteboard a design or process.
Are you a research team working collaboratively? If so, your whiteboard might look like a complete tangle. Through a live video call, we can organise and lay out your working board to smooth the brainstorm process. We can also add some visual elements that will delight your contributors and create ease.
Rapidly wireframe.
Wireframing is a key component to designing and innovating and I’ll help you through the wireframing process. Details that impact user experience won’t slip by —my brain is made for this! At the end of our session, you’ll have a map (or a really good start to one which will be easy to complete independently) that will help you take the next big step in the creative design process!
About my consulting:
Consulting has become a dirty word for some—especially in Ireland—because some consultants charge a lot for very little in return.
This is different.
My consulting sessions are visual and creative. You’ll have a talented illustrator listening to you—capturing your ideas as they flow. I’ll ask the right questions to help you clarify pivotal parts of your plan.
You’ll leave your consulting session with a tangible and actional piece of art that you can use as a ‘show and tell’ piece with key stakeholders.
Long story short—I’ll help get your idea or question out of your head and onto paper where you can see it and do something with it!
Why hire me:
People have a hard time seeing your idea.

You’ve worked with illustrators in the past and found it…well… painful with endless rounds of revisions that happen on the illustrator’s time. With me, we’ll work together in real-time. It’s quite magical, really.
What you get:
When your session is done, you’ll receive a single A4 page as a .jpg or pdf. This will be emailed to you immediately.
Think of your consulting session like a copywriting process but instead of using words, we’ll be creating images. Often visual images can convey what words cannot.

Booking a session is convenient.
Just show up at your appointment and talk.
You’ll receive your graphic in your inbox immediately afterward.
See your ideas take physical form right before your eyes.
I’ll give you feedback in the moment…no waiting.
You can take your graphic to a design studio (ahem…may I recommend myself?) where your visual notes can be worked into a finished graphic. Have your own designer? No problem and no obligation.
Flexibility. Book sessions when you need them.
Your session will be fun! I promise.
How it works:
You’ll book your session using my easy online scheduling tool. The fee is €160 which includes prep, live time and supply of assets after the session.
You’ll be prompted to fill out a quick form so I can prepare for your session.
We’ll meet via a secure video platform. You’ll want to be at your desktop device, not a phone or tablet.
When we meet, I highly recommend being in a quiet room without interruptions. You’ll turn your phone off or put it on ‘silent.’
You’ll need a stable broadband connection so please make arrangements for that. I cannot control internet stability (I wish). Sketchy internet (no pun intended) will waste your time.
It’s a good idea to show up to your virtual session 5 minutes early to settle in. Enjoy a lovely cup of tea or coffee while we work.
Some ideas take longer than others. If you find another hourly session would be beneficial, you are free to set that up at any time!
Refunds:
Consulting sessions are paid upfront, in full. I do not provide refunds for missed sessions because even if you didn’t show up, I arrived prepared (and my time is worth it🤓). Need to reschedule? OK, click the button in your reminder email and set that up. Running late? Let me know—I’m a kind human who understands that life happens and am happy to be patient. Otherwise, I’ll wait for 7-minutes and then get back to my day.
